Mission San Juan Capistrano San Juan Capistrano, CA

The Mission Preservation Foundation, the steward of the Mission San Juan Capistrano, invited Barnard Ventures to work on this “Jewel of the Missions”. Retained to manage the design, entitlement, and construction of a this sensitive project, BV oversaw the implementation of a new group entry, new front gate, museum store, and entry plaza. BV took particular care to ensure the structure fit appropriately with the surrounding historic structures while also addressing programmatic needs and its role in the downtown revitalization plan. BV completed program development, design, mock-up, and entitlement work with broad community and City support. The firm also developed a two-phase construction plan and construction documents with construction completion occurring in 2013.
